CONSERVATION SERIES 2022
THE CONSERVATION SERIES WAS A COMMUNITY ART PROJECT IN DENALI NATIONAL PARK AND PRESERVE. CHARACTERS WERE DISPLAYED IN WORKING AREAS AND IN EMPLOYEE HOUSING AT A RIVERFRONT PROPERTY.
THIS SERIES STARTED WITH DRAWING R'S BUNNY AND CAPTAIN PLANET. AFTER DISPLAYING CAPTAIN PLANET IN A WORKING AREA, A SUPERVISORY STAFF MEMBER REQUESTED I CREATE OTHER CHARACTERS FOR RECYCLING. THE RECYCLING GUIDES WERE BORN. AFTER COMPLETING WORKPLACE ART, I DREW DIFFERENT CHARACTERS AND POSTED THEM THROUGHOUT EMPLOYEE HOUSING AREAS.

These characters were created from reflections on what animals conserve their own energy and what animals are affected by human activity. The Conserve Energy Sloth was an employee favorite.
